• Strip the beds

  Remove sheets and pillowcases and leave them in a pile on the bed or in the laundry basket.Required
• Gather used towels

  Place all used towels in the bathroom floor or laundry basket.Required
• Load the dishwasher or wash dishes

  Put dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start it, or wash and dry them if there's no dishwasher.Required
• Take out the trash

  Empty all trash bins and take bags to the outside bin or designated area.Required
• Clear out the fridge

  Remove any food or drinks you brought. Toss anything that will spoil.Required
• Turn off all lights and fans

  Walk through and switch off lights, fans, and any electronics you turned on.Required
• Set the thermostat

  Return the thermostat to the setting noted in the house guide (or turn off A/C and heating).
• Close and lock all windows

  Make sure all windows are closed and latched.Required
• Check for your belongings

  Do a quick walkthrough to make sure you haven't left anything behind.Required
• Return keys or lockbox

  Leave keys where you found them or follow the lockbox instructions.Required
• Lock the door

  Make sure the front door is locked when you leave.Required
• Let us know you've checked out

  Send a quick message to confirm you've left and let us know if anything needs attention.
